Austria train stabbing: Man with knife attacks two passengers before being wrestled to the ground
A knifeman went on a rampage on a train in Austria, stabbing two passengers before being wrestled to the ground.
Police said the 60-year-old suspect was brandishing a knife began stabbing his fellow passengers at 6.30am this morning.
The attack took place in Roethis, which is located on the Austrian-Swiss border.
During the attack, one passenger is said to have launched himself on the knifeman, according to an eyewitness.
The knifeman was wrestled to the ground, where he was held until police could arrive.
Officers then made an arrest, but the extent of the injuries that victims suffered is not yet clear.
The chilling attack comes just a month after an ISIS-inspired teenager pulled out an axe and hacked away at horrified passengers in Germsny.
Muhammad Riyad, 17, was shot dead by police as he tried to flee the scene after leaving the carriage covered in blood.
