Media Reports State Dept. ‘Mass Resignation...true or false?

Depending on which news source you read about the “mass firing” or the “mass resignations” in the State Department key management staff, one would scratch their heads and wonder what is going on?

In the Washington Post and the Independent, the reports leads you to think there is a mutiny going on.

To quote the Washington Post: “The entire senior level of management officials resigned Wednesday, part of an ongoing mass exodus of senior foreign service officers who don’t want to stick around for the Trump era…” Sounds rather serious, like a mutiny to me! The Post goes on to announce a big addition to the resignation with the name of Patrick Kennedy as one of the lead men resigning because he didn’t want to “stick around for the Trump era”….this is the same Patrick Kennedy who, as the Independent wrote: “ Mr Kennedy, a diplomat since 1973, was criticised for the department's insufficient security at the diplomatic post in Benghazi, Libya, where four Americans were killed in 2012...

In heated congressional hearings, he defended then Secretary of State Hillary Clinton's handling of the situation and insisted there was no “stand down” order to the US military during the attack.

Records also showed that Mr Kennedy asked for the FBI's help in 2015 to change the classification level of an email from Ms Clinton's private server. The FBI ultimately rejected the request.”

Sounds, to me, like a good reason to accept Kennedy’s resignation. However, here’s something most news sources fail to mention, or if they do, it’s as quickly and quietly as possible so no one will notice...All appointees have to hand in their resignations when there’s a new administration and it’s up to that new President to accept or reject that resignation. Sure puts a different light on this subject, doesn’t it?

Frankly, I like what Breitbart had to say: “Kennedy has also been accused of playing a role in the Benghazi disaster, although the State Department’s internal review “downplayed” his role in the “decision-making that led to the inadequate security posture in Benghazi,” as the Washington Examiner recalls. The Examiner also notes his “you can’t fire me, I quit” retirement was announced yesterday, so treating it like big news today is somewhat disingenuous.”

The Post and Independent are examples of how a news source words their report to slant it the way they want the reader to take it.

Here’s another example of “slant” on the part of today’s main stream media, also recently known as “fake news media”: “The Hill reports that these four joined “a number of other officials who have departed since President Trump took office last week,” but goes on to cite only two names: Assistant Secretary of State for Diplomatic Security Gregory Starr, who retired, and Bureau of Overseas Building Operations Lydia Muniz.” Thus reports Breitbart.

So, what really happened? Were they fired? Did they resign? Or was it a simple case of the President wanting his own men in the position, given some of the past history of some there and given the scandals of the State Department while Clinton was Secretary of State? Well, it’s one you’ll have to ask President Trump, for the real truth, or perhaps it will be in one of the press conferences. We can’t trust the media any longer so we need to get answers straight from “the horse’s mouth” so to speak.

What I’m saying here in this article is, beware of what you believe no matter where it comes from. The left will slant against President Trump rather than working together to make our country better. Examples of that are their tactics of slowing down the confirmation hearings. By not putting the people into their new offices in a timely fashion, the left is endangering our national security. They are leaving a void, a hole that will cause damage to our country if not filled quickly.

The media are mostly all liberals so of course they will do what ever they can to turn the people against this president in stead of pointing out the great work he’s done these last 4 days. Love him or hate him, one must note that this man has kept the white house busy like no other in history. He has accomplished more in 4 days than many presidents had in years.

I believe we should all come together as a country, united in our belief that all the citizens of this great nation are one. We are affected by what ever a President does, good or bad. So, if President Trump causes this country to prosper, the Trump haters will prosper right along with the Trump lovers. The same applies in reverse. But, we must remain one….because a house divided can not stand.
