Planned Parenthood's partial-birth abortion scam exposed

Stating compliance with the federal Partial-Birth Abortion ban – before a procedure is done – is a valid way of complying with the federal law, according to a statement from a Planned Parenthood official.

The comment comes from an abortion industry player caught on undercover video by an organization that dispatched investigators into Planned Parenthood and other abortion business operations to catch insiders on video – and now since 2015 has been releasing them to the public.

“So some people train to just document that like, you know to comply with the Partial-Birth Abortion Ban, you basically have to say, ‘I intend to utilize dismemberment techniques for this procedure,'” said Suzie Prabhakaran, of Planned Parenthood’s Florida business chain.

“So every time you do a procedure, that’s how you document. So, like, there’s like a checkbox, so it would be before the procedure, you do your evaluation, you write, ‘I intend to utilize dismemberment techniques for this procedure.'”

She explains her own procedures for compliance: “I’m not doing digoxin, and we’re just going to document and there’s never been a problem.”

She’s vice president of medical affairs for Planned Parenthood of Southwest and Central Florida and graphically discussed Planned Parenthood’s late-term “dismemberment” and partial-birth abortion protocols in the context of fetal body part harvesting, which was the focus on the undercover video investigation.

The new video comes from the Center for Medical Progress as the U.S. Senate is debating provisions to terminate about $500 million in annual taxpayer subsidies to Planned Parenthood, the nation’s biggest abortion business.

CMP explains that the video was at a Planned Parenthood conference evening reception when its investigators posed as buyers from a biotech company. The discussion was about them partnering with Prabhakaran’s Planned Parenthood affiliate in order to harvest fetal organs and tissues from unborn babies that are killed there.

Prabhakaran discussed how the abortion industry allows abortionists to certify compliance with the federal Partial-Birth Abortion Ban, which prohibits abortions in which a fetus is extracted alive up to certain anatomical landmarks (18 U.S.C. 1531).

They can kill the unborn baby with digoxin, she explains, or simply “document” their “intent.”

CMP project lead David Daleiden said, “Planned Parenthood medical directors and abortion doctors feign compliance with the federal partial-birth abortion law on paper, knowing full well that ‘what ultimately happens doesn’t matter’ so long as no one is scrutinizing what they actually do to women and children in the operating room. And the fact that Planned Parenthood has a ‘dismemberment’ ‘checkbox’ on their abortion forms should tell the public and policymakers everything they need to know about this barbaric abortion business. The Department of Justice should open an immediate investigation into Planned Parenthood’s late-term abortion practices, and the U.S. Congress must stop forcing taxpayers to subsidize Planned Parenthood’s brutal abortion empire.”

Marjorie Dannenfelser, president of the pro-life Susan B. Anthony List, said, “The latest undercover video from the Center for Medical Progress shows a Planned Parenthood abortionist readily admitting how she dismembers children in the womb – or else fills out a clinical form stating intent to do so while actually leaving open the possibility of doing an illegal partial birth abortion.

“The video includes footage from a previously seen meeting with Planned Parenthood’s Deborah Nucatola who explained ‘The Federal [Partial-Birth] Abortion Ban is a law, and laws are up to interpretation. So there are some people who interpret it as it’s intent. So if I say on Day One I do not intend to do this, what ultimately happens doesn’t matter.’

“After seeing this, many Americans may find themselves asking why and how Planned Parenthood is still permitted to do business, let alone receive more than $500 million dollars a year. Our forced complicity in this atrocity must end,” Dannenfelser said.

“We urge our pro-life allies in the Senate to watch this video today and refresh their resolve to ensure that any health care reform legislation includes provisions to redirect Planned Parenthood’s tax dollars to community health centers and also rolls back Obamacare’s abortion expansion. Abortion is not health care, and pro-life grassroots elected a pro-life House, Senate, and White House in 2016 expecting these victories. Congress must send a bill defunding Planned Parenthood and undoing the damage of Obamacare to President Trump’s desk for his signature.”

The videos have caused considerable furor across the United States, with multiple states withdrawing their own funding for the abortionists after the revelations in the library of tapes – that abortionists get paid for the organs of unborn children who die in their abortion businesses.

There also have been several congressional investigations – and the resulting referrals to the U.S. Department of Justice for the investigation of multiple players.

The abortion industry also has fought back – claiming that the videos all are deceptively edited – and therefore misleading.

Abortion-favoring officials also have sided with the businesses, filing charges against Daleiden and another worker for allegedly violating the privacy of individuals they recorded in California – even though those conversations all were in public locations.

Most recently, a Planned Parenthood-linked judge slapped Dalieden and his lawyers with more than $100,000 in penalties over releasing a video that the National Abortion Federation had convinced him to conceal from the public.

The issue was that the video in question was the basis for the criminal charges California filed – and Daleiden’s defense team decided the evidence needed to be known to the public – not concealed.

That judge, William Orrick, found Daleiden and his lawyers in contempt, a process in federal courts that essentially allows judges to punish case participants on his own.

An appeal already is under way on that decision.

Orrick, who directed a community center that advocated for abortion-industry giant Planned Parenthood, issued the ruling regarding the lawyers’ release of video footage Daleiden shot at a National Abortion Federation event.

Daleiden’s other videos, which already have been released, show abortion-industry executives routinely bragged about making money selling the body parts of unborn babies.

One executive infamously told Daleiden she wanted more money so she could buy a Lamborghini.

The lawyers for Daleiden released the video of NAF participants also making such comments because the video was being used as evidence to prosecute Daleiden on a charge of invasion of privacy.

Essentially, Orrick wants the evidence against the abortionists suppressed, even while it is used in a criminal case against Daleiden.

The conversations were recorded in public places, where individuals arguably have no expectation of privacy.

The Thomas More Society has been defending Daleiden in some of the cases filed against its client. Thomas More said the ruling that keeps the undercover video suppressed is being appealed to the U.S. Supreme Court “as an unconstitutional censorship decree and a ‘prior restraint’ on the free speech rights of Daleiden and his company, the Center for Medical Progress.”

Steve Cooley, who for a decade was the district attorney in Los Angeles County, and Brentford Ferreira, who was Cooley’s chief assistant in state office, were represented by Los Angeles attorney Matt Geragos before Orrick.

The lawyers have been representing Daleiden in the criminal case, which was brought by California Attorney General Xavier Becerra, well known as a big supporter of abortion.

His original case against Daleiden collapsed, but he revived it with reformulated charges.

Orrick has a longstanding board membership with the Good Samaritan Family Resource Center in San Francisco, which for years has had a Planned Parenthood abortion business on its premises.

WND reported Orrick ordered media not to post the video in which abortionists joke among themselves about the killing of unborn infants.

Even news outlets not party to the case are barred from posting it.

WND, however, transcribed for its readers the comments of the abortion-industry figures.

Lisa Harris, medical director for Planned Parenthood of Michigan, says in the banned video: “Our stories don’t really have a place in a lot of pro-choice discourse and rhetoric, right? The heads that get stuck that we can’t get out. The hemorrhages that we manage.”

Susan Robinson of Planned Parenthood of Mar Monte in San Jose, California: “The fetus is a tough little object and taking it apart, I mean taking it apart, on day one is very difficult.’

Talcott Camp, deputy director of the American Civil Liberties Union’s Reproductive Health Freedom Project: “I’m like, ‘Oh my God!’ I get it! When the skull is broken, that’s really sharp. I get it, I understand why people are talking about getting that skull out, that calvarium.”

Deborah Nucatola, senior director of medical services at Planned Parenthood Federation of America: “You know, sometimes she’ll tell me she wants brain, and we’ll, you know, leave the calvarium in ’til last, and then try to basically take it, or actually, you know, catch everything, and even keep it separate from the rest of the tissue so it doesn’t get lost.”

The video was the work of undercover investigators with the Center for Medical Progress, who since 2015 have released more than a dozen videos of abortionists – mostly from Planned Parenthood – talking about their unborn-baby, body-parts trade, their willingness to adjust an abortion procedure to salvage a particular body part sought by a researcher and more.

Most of the videos have been released to the public, but the National Abortion Federation went to court demanding that videos of its members speaking be removed from the Web.

Orrick was appointed under the pro-abortion agenda of Barack Obama, and remains on the case despite the fact his wife “has also posted public comments, pictured with her husband, that are supportive of Planned Parenthood and critical of these moving defendants.”

A spokeswoman in Orrick’s office, Jean Davis, told WND the judge would refuse to comment on his prior restraint order.

One of the CMP videos showed an official admitting Planned Parenthood sells fully intact aborted babies.

Another has Deborah Nucatola of Planned Parenthood commented on crushing babies.

“We’ve been very good at getting heart, lung, liver, because we know that, so I’m not gonna crush that part, I’m gonna basically crush below, I’m gonna crush above, and I’m gonna see if I can get it all intact,” she said.

In the second video, Planned Parenthood’s Mary Gatter discussed how her compensation for organs could rise when she said, “I want a Lamborghini.”

The fifth video released shows Melissa Farrell of Planned Parenthood’s Houston clinic discussing “intact fetal cadavers”:

The seventh video has the testimony of a Planned Parenthood worker who tapped an aborted infant’s heart and saw it start beating.
