2 dead, including gunman, after shooting in Murfreesboro

An investigation is underway after a deadly shooting incident in Murfreesboro Thursday night.

Officers were called to a residence on Nightshade Drive just after 8 p.m.

Murfreesboro police reported one person was shot and killed and the alleged gunman is also dead.

There is no ongoing threat to the community following the shootings, according to Murfreesboro police.

The investigation is ongoing.
