Andrew Lloyd Webber’s son Nicholas dead at 43: ‘I am shattered’

Nicholas Lloyd Webber — a Grammy-nominated composer and record producer and the eldest son of famed composer Andrew Lloyd Webber — has died. He was 43.

“I am shattered to have to announce that my beloved elder son Nick died a few hours ago in Basingstoke Hospital,” Andrew, 75, said in a statement Saturday to The Post.

“His whole family is gathered together and we are all totally bereft. Thank you for all your thoughts during this difficult time.”

Nicholas, also known as Nick, entered hospice care earlier this week as his 18-month battle with stomach cancer worsened, his father announced.

Nicholas was dealing with a “bout of pneumonia” due to the cancer, his father said, calling the illness “ghastly.”

“We’re all here, and the family here has gathered around, and it was the right place for us all to be I think,” he said in an Instagram video Thursday.

The composer was absent from the Thursday opening of his Broadway musical “Bad Cinderella” to be by his son’s side.

Born on July 2, 1979, Nicholas was best known for his work in the movie “The Last Bus” (2021), “Mr. Invisible” (2013) and the BBC show “Love, Lies and Records” (2017).

Nicholas was nominated for a Grammy in 2022 for Best Musical Theater Album, a nomination he shared with his father, producer Greg Wells and fellow composer and lyricist David Zippel for their work on “Andrew Lloyd Webber’s Cinderella.”

Nicholas is survived by his father, mother Sarah Hugill, spouse Polly Wiltshire, and siblings Imogen, Isabella, Alastair and William.

He married Wiltshire in 2018.
