Armed man arrested at Trump National LA Golf Course had 208 notebook pages detailing First Lady's schedule, Secret Service agents

It has been revealed that the armed man arrested at President Trump's Los Angeles golf course had a trove of pages that included information about First Lady Melania Trump's daily schedule and Secret Service agents, as well as drawings of the golf course. Defendant Jeanine John Taele, 38, was taken into custody on August 2 after several sketchy visits to the golf course.

During Wednesday's preliminary hearing in LA, prosecutors told Judge John Lonergan that Taele had 208 notebook pages that contained lists of Secret Service schedules, drawings of the golf course, copies of the First Lady's schedule, and details of individual security members, the New York Post reported.

Taele, a Marine veteran, also researched how to "go off grid," prosecutors said.

Judge Lonergan revoked Taele's bail and described the allegations against the defendant as "alarming in this day and age with the violence that is creeping into our everyday lives, especially with the partisan political climate," per the Post.

Prosecutors told the Court that federal agents first observed Taele at Trump National Golf Course LA on July 31 during an assessment for the president's August 4 visit. Taele reportedly wore an earpiece and walked around the golf course filming agents planning security activities. Federal agents said Taele returned on August 2 and falsely claimed he was a State Department employee when confronted, and said he had firearms in his vehicle.

The Los Angeles Sheriff's Department arrested Taele on unrelated robbery charges later that day. Deputies discovered a 16-round magazine in his pant pocket during a pat-down, and a loaded 9mm pistol, binoculars, and a fake security badge were located in his vehicle, according to court documents.

During a home search the following day, investigators seized multiple firearms, body armor, high-capacity magazines, and communications equipment. "Anyone with that amount of firepower around the president poses a serious threat," First Assistant US Attorney Bill Essayli told the paper, adding that Taele's alleged conduct was "not normal."

Taele will appear back in court on September 9.
