At least five people shot — including one in the face— inside Bronx subway station in scary rush-hour scene

At least five people were shot inside a Bronx subway station Monday afternoon, according to law enforcement sources.

Multiple victims were hit by gunfire at the Mount Eden Avenue station, which serves the 4 train, at around 4:40 p.m., the sources said.

Sources said one person was shot in the face, and another in the leg.

Witnesses reported hearing more than 10 shots fired, according to the sources.

It wasn’t immediately clear what sparked the violence, or whether it took place on a train at the station or on the platform.

The NYPD requested residents avoid the area around the station because of the active investigation.
