Tensions erupted in Worcester, Massachusetts, on May 8 when a crowd of neighbors confronted ICE agents attempting to detain a woman. Video footage posted to TikTok shows a crowd of people surrounded the agents' vehicle, chanting “Where is the warrant?” and attempting to block it from leaving. A young woman holding a baby is seen trying to stand in front of the car then handing the child to someone else, she was arrested by police and charged with reckless endangerment of a child, resisting arrest, and other offenses.

Among those arrested was 38-year-old Ashley Spring, a Worcester School Board candidate, who allegedly pushed officers and threw an unknown liquid at them. She now faces charges including assault and battery on a police officer. The Worcester Police Department is reviewing video footage, and more charges may follow.
