DRINK THIS WATER AND NEVER THIRST

About 25 years ago, I never drank water. I just didn’t like the taste of tap. Sweet iced tea was my drink of choice, day in and day out. My late husband used to nudge me constantly—“Drink some water.” But I wouldn’t budge.

Then, after his passing, I tried my first bottle of spring water. And oh my, it was like a revelation. Crisp, clean, refreshing—it quenched my thirst better than anything I’d ever tasted. From that moment on, I’ve only drunk water. But still not from the tap.

And you know what? Jesus is just like that spring water.

We search high and low, chasing after all the things this world offers—hoping they’ll fill the ache in our hearts. But they never satisfy. Only Jesus can quench that thirst. Like He said in John 4:14:

“But whosoever drinketh of the water that I shall give him shall never thirst;but the water that I shall give him shall be in him a well of waterspringing up into everlasting life.”

Just like tap water can carry impurities, chemicals, and things that wear us down, this world is full of spiritual toxins—things we shouldn’t take in, things that chip away at our souls.

But Jesus? He’s the spring of life. His water is pure, healing, eternal. When we drink deeply from His well, our thirst for worldly things fades away. We’re filled with something so much greater—living water that never runs dry.
