Vice President JD Vance warned the EU not to go forward with any massive fines against Elon Musk and his American social media company X for not complying with their censorship demands.

But that’s exactly what they did:

I said yesterday that I believe President Trump will get involved, as he has in the past, in defense of Musk and X for being fined by these EU totalitarians. Not because it’s Elon, but because X is an American company and, as Carr pointed out, this is a tax on Americans.
