Psalm 105 is about what God did for His people and Psalm 106 is how they responded. This chapter is filled with all kinds of miracles God did for His people. Look into your life with an honest eye and see what God has done in your life. What kind of miracles and blessings has He performed for you since your birth. Maybe even your actual birth was a miracle? Many people don’t look back at the things that has happened in their lives that were not explainable, as a movement of God. They can’t explain it away so they shrug it off. I’ve told you all the many miracles God has done in my life and back at that time of not walking with God, I shrugged it off too. It wasn’t until I came back to the Lord, that I could see God’s hand all over the miracles that He did for me before and after my return to Him. I don’t stop thanking him for those even now. It’s like us as parents. We work hard to give our family a living. We work hard to cook, clean, hold down a job, and all the other things we have to do daily for our family. No one in the family says a word. In fact, just like the Israelites who complained about the manna, our family will complain you aren’t doing enough for them. Never mind that you work yourself to death, you get nothing for yourself, not even rest, but no, the family keeps wanting more without a bit of appreciation for what you have been doing for them already. We get tired of it. God got tired of it too and sent the Israelites so much meat they were nearly drowning in it. Then, on top of that, we don’t trust God to get us through the trials ahead of us, just as the Israelites didn’t trust in God to get them across the Red Sea. They started complaining and fearing and doubting. We must stop being ingrates. We need to thank the Lord for all He does for us. We need to praise Him, give Him all the glory for all the blessings, miracles, etc. that He showers upon us. We must remember all He’s done for us to this point and know that He will get us through the next challenge. Have faith that He didn’t get you to your Red Sea moment, just to let you be overtaken. He will part the dangerous waters for you to get through to the other side. You just need faith. I have found in my own life, that God is my life boat. He has gotten me over the roughest waters of my life. Yet, with God as my life boat, I got through it to the calmer seas. Trust in God to get you through your stormy seas. Thank Him while you are in your storm, thank Him for the blessings He’s given you to date. Thank Him for letting you see Him at work in your life. Have faith that He will keep his promise that He will never leave you. Don’t be like the Israelites who after God saved them from one problem then another, they grieved God so many times that they were destroyed. God is long suffering but He does have a limit. As long as you follow God and allow Him to do His wonders in your life, He will keep doing them. Praise Him and appreciate what He does. Don’t fall back into the world, don’t forget where that miracle came from, for when you are adrift in an angry sea, remember that God is your life boat!
