A Watchwoman’s Reflection on the Near Return of Christ
We live in a world where machines can read our faces, track our movements, and even alter our biology. What once belonged to science fiction now sits quietly in our pockets and pulses through our veins. But for those who know the Word, this isn’t just innovation—it’s preparation, it’s prophecy fulfillment.
Scripture tells us that in the last days, deception will increase, lawlessness will abound, and a global system will rise that demands allegiance through a mark—one that controls buying and selling (Revelation 13:16–17). Today, we see the scaffolding of that system: digital currencies, biometric IDs, AI-driven surveillance, and genetic manipulation. The technology is ready. The infrastructure is humming. All that remains is the arrival of the one who will wield it—the Antichrist.
But here’s the hope:
The mark doesn’t come until halfway through the Tribulation. And that means the rapture—the catching away of the Church—is even closer.
Jesus said, “When these things begin to come to pass, look up, for your redemption draws near” (Luke 21:28). Not when they’re complete. Not when the Antichrist is revealed. But when they begin. And they’ve begun.
Like birth pangs, the signs are intensifying—faster, harder, closer together. The earth groans. The systems tighten. The deception deepens. But for the Bride of Christ, this is not a time to fear. It’s a time to listen for the trumpet.
Paul wrote:
We are not appointed to wrath (1 Thessalonians 5:9). We are appointed to watch, to warn, and to wait—with lamps lit and hearts ready.
So I say to my fellow believers:
Don’t be distracted by the noise. Don’t be seduced by convenience. Don’t be lulled into spiritual sleep. The systems of control may be rising, but so is our hope. The trumpet is near. The Bridegroom is coming. And the time to look up… is now.
