Metallica Harrison stabs 3-year-old son, husband to death at Great Wolf Lodge in Poconos

A woman is alleged to have stabbed her 3-year-old son and husband to death at Great Wolf Lodge in Pennsylvania's Pocono Mountains. The woman, Metallica Harrison, 27, has been hospitalized and the Monroe County Coroner's Office is investigating and Harrison has been charged with two counts of homicide.
After she stabbed her son and husband Charles Harrison, she called 911 and asked for help to end her own life. "My husband and son are already gone in the bed in the living room," she told dispatchers about what they would find in room 2030. "They're already gone, I'm sorry."
The family had been staying at the resort since Sept. 21 with an extension booked on Oct. 5. She had stabbed them both in the chest. Knives were recovered at the scene and the resort confirmed that they were not resort property. Containers of blood were recovered along with medication.
Harrison had slashed her neck and wrists. These were also the actions undertaken by notorious child killer Lindsay Clancy after she dispatched her three children in the Duxbury home she shared with her husband in January 2024.
When police arrived and arrested her, she declined to speak to them, allegedly saying she was "suicidal, not stupid." During her ride with EMS to a local hospital, she told first responders "Every day, I work so hard to be the best person, the best mother, the best wife," police officers recorded her saying, per the NY Post.
"It wasn't supposed to end like this," she said. "I was supposed to have my happy family. That's what I envisioned since I was a child." She further inquired as to how best to take her own life.
"This was a violent domestic tragedy in which two people, a boy and his father, lost their lives," said the Monroe County DA.
"We are deeply saddened and heartbroken by a tragic domestic incident that occurred yesterday in a guest room at our resort in the Pocono Mountains," a statement from Great Wolf Lodge read. "It was an isolated family incident and we're cooperating fully with local law enforcement as they conduct their investigation."
"Our thoughts are with the family and loved ones of those affected," the statement continued. "Out of respect for those involved as well as the integrity of the investigation, we ask that any further information regarding this matter be directed to Pocono Township Police Department."
The resort is allowing guests to change their reservations at this time.
