A rapper based in New York City has been arrested for killing a cat after he posted about the Satanic sacrifice of the animal on his social media in order to promote his music, according to a report from the New York Post

David Mosley, 26, was taken into custody on Thursday and charged with criminal mischief, aggravated cruelty to animals and disposal of dead animals, according to law enforcement sources who spoke to the outlet.

The wannabe rapper lives in Fordham North and goes by the alias of Church of Ububal. He boasted in a YouTube rant about the killing that he was inspired to do so by a Norwegian black metal band whose bassist “literally murdered" a member of the music group.

He boasted about the killing of the cat to promote his rap album in the days leading up to his arrest. However, after social media backlash and being approached by a reporter about the killing of the kitty, he told the press, “You can’t write your stories here and you’re not allowed in this building."

One neighbor said that "he's crazy" and that Mosley is "always moving furniture and being loud … It’s hard to believe anyone like that is living here.” He had posted a photo of the dead cat to his Instagram account that has since been deleted. "You should have heard the little bih squeal. lol ... kinda like your mom" (sic) Mosley posted as the caption with the dead cat.

At the time, he also threatened to release a "live sacrifice" on Halloween. He had defended his action in a livestream on Monday, claiming that the stunt was only a joke and that the cat was already dead when he made the post.

“Any vet who looks at that picture can see there was distress and the cat was recently spayed and therefore very likely recently adopted,” Greenpoint Cats rescuer Becky Wisdom said in response to the claim. “The open mouth, the blood, it was not a peaceful end.”
