Ohio man, woman arrested after threatening to shoot up Bannon event, plowing car into raw sewage

Alfred Ferrara, 59, from Cleveland and Mary Schroeder, 67, from Hudson, Ohio were charged with resisting arrest, inducing panic, and criminal trespass after they threatened to shoot up a restaurant in East Palestine, Ohio on Tuesday where Steve Bannon was hosting his talk show.

According to WKBN News, after threatening Bannon the two drove off and then rammed their car into the local sewer plant where they became stuck in human excrement and assorted raw sewage.

According to local WFML News, the two went to the Original Roadhouse in East Palestine where Bannon was filming his show and Ferrara said he was going to "get his gun and shoot up the place." Police said that Ferrara was removed from the establishment by a security team. Ferrara then allegedly left in a car being driven by Schroeder, who later drove the car into a solids-holding tank at the sewer plant, causing the car to be submerged.

Ferrara was able to get out of the car, but Schroeder, who was intoxicated, was stuck inside and was later freed by officers

According to WFMJ, Ferrara was found hiding behind a building and resisted arrest. While officers were arresting Ferrara, Schroeder reportedly talked back to the car and became stuck in human waste, having to be pulled out by police before they arrested her as well.

Ferrara’s bond was set at $20,000, and has pleaded not guilty to inciting panic, trespassing, obstructing official business, and resisting arrest.

Schroeder’s bond was set at $2,500, and has pleaded not guilty to trespassing.

The two are currently at the Columbiana County Jail.
