Four people were injured after a small plane crashed in front of horrified fans at a major NHRA drag racing event in Pomona, California on Sunday.

The crash occurred when the plane attempted to land at an airfield near the In-N-Out Burger Pomona Dragstrip, authorities confirmed.

The pilot and three passengers survived and were rushed to the hospital with non-life-threatening injuries, the Pomona Police Department said.

The plane smashed multiple parked vehicles, including a camper, witnesses told journalist Jerry Jordan, and firefighters worked to contain fuel gushing from the downed plane.

The plane hit the ground during the In-N-Out Burger National Hot Rod Association finals event.

The event was halted after the crash, NHRA said on X. The National Transportation Safety Board is investigating the incident.
