A Super Bowl 2025 protestor — who was part of the 400-member field cast — stormed onto the stage during Kendrick Lamar’s halftime show performance and waved a combined Palestinian and Sudanese flag before being corralled by security.

The flags had “Gaza” written on the Palestinian flag and “Sudan” on the Sudanese flag.

The protestor managed to jump on stage and wave the flags for several seconds before he jumped down to the field and ran around a bit longer.

Security eventually tackled him and apprehended him as they removed him from the field.

The NFL confirmed the person was part of the 400-member field cast.

“The individual hid the item on his person and unveiled it late in the show,” the NFL said. “No one involved with the production was aware of the individual’s intent.”

The New Orleans Police Department said in a statement that “law enforcement is working to determine applicable charges in this incident.”

Roc Nation, the entertainment company that produced Sunday night’s show, said the act “was neither planned nor part of the production and was never in any rehearsal.”

Israel and Hamas, the terrorist organization that represents Palestinians in Gaza, are currently in the middle of a six-week truce after a ceasefire deal was reached following nearly 500 days of war stemming from Hamas’ brutal Oct. 7, 2023 attack, which killed nearly 1,200 civilians.

Sudan has been embroiled in a civil war since 2023.

As part of the Israel-Hamas ceasefire, the latter has begun releasing hostages the terrorist organization captured during its Oct. 7 attack, while Israel has released hundreds of Palestinian prisoners.

Hamas has so far freed 21 hostages, while the ceasefire deal calls for 12 more to be released in the next three weeks.

There are still 76 hostages remaining.

The Chiefs entered halftime trailing the Eagles 24-0 before eventually falling, 40-22, to miss out on a historic three-peat.

Lamar’s show, outside the protestor, featured SZA, Samuel L. Jackson and Serena Williams.
