Telegram co-founder Pavel Durov seen being released from French custody in new video

Telegram co-founder Pavel Durov was seen in amateur video being released from custody after he was charged in a French court Wednesday following his arrest over the weekend.

The Russian-born billionaire briskly walked out of a heavily guarded facility, wearing sunglasses and a black baseball cap as well as all-black garb, according to the 34-second video posted to X on Thursday.

A caption written in Hungarian on the X post translates to “he just left the court. Us baseball capers, stick together!”

Durov was then hustled to a waiting black SUV surrounded by beefy security guards before speeding off, the video shows.

A Russian-speaking journalist had asked Durov about his state of mind, but the tech mogul declined to say anything.

Durov was charged with being complicit in the spread of crime on the popular messaging app, including child sex abuse, drug trafficking, and fraud, officials said.

He was freed on $5.6 million bail and ordered to stay in France as officials continue their investigation.
