A Texas man is facing charges of criminal trespass charges for allegedly trying to enter CIA headquarters multiple times over the course of four days.

The driver, Connor Lynn Mayo, allegedly drove past a CIA police officer Monday at the main gate of the headquarters in McLean, Virginia, according to local TV station USA9 after the officer tried to stop him. When the officer questioned Mayo, he couldn't provide sufficient identification and tried to drive off, according to charging documents.

Officers ran the plates on the car and recognized the name from previous trespass incidents days before, including one in which he tried to follow another vehicle that had been cleared through the gate. The TV station reports Mayo made similar attempts Thursday and Saturday.

Mayo stated he'd previously been to the CIA, understood he was trespassing, and said he believed he was "intended to be at CIA," state the documents filed Monday.
