A 19-year-old Texas man was arrested Wednesday for planning a mass shooting at the local Amazon depot warehouse where he worked.

According to a statement on the San Antonio Police Department's Facebook page, Rodolfo Aceves of San Antonio, Tex. was arrested without incident by the SAPD Covert Operations Unit and SAPD Street Crimes Unit at a location away from the warehouse and then charged with Terroristic Threats.

According to The Daily Mail the arrest report states Aceves allegedly told an amazon coworker "it would be a good idea to pull the fire alarm and have all employees exit the building" and commit the mass shooting as they funneled out into his gunfire.

The SAPD in their statement wrote, "This case highlights the importance of community collaboration and appropriate responses. This is the essence of 'see something, say something. If not for the witness who came forward, this incident could have resulted in a tragic outcome."

The witness who came forward was a woman who had taken a ride from him. The woman was going to pick up her kids from school and Aceves talked of his future plans during the drive.

He apparently said he "knew where he was going to commit the mass shooting" among other ominous threats. She also claimed he "idolized" Salvador Ramos, the Uvalde mass murderer who slaughtered 19 children and two teachers on May 24 at Robb Elementary School.

Aceves' father told authorities his son had recently bought an AR-15 and had gone off his medication, although he didn't specify what mental affliction ailed his son. The father did say he was afraid of what his son may do.
