Woman charged after threatening to kill federal agents, shouting 'Charlie Kirk died and we love it!' in Massachusetts

A Massachusetts woman has been arrested and charged after allegedly threatening to kill federal agents who were carrying out an immigration arrest outside the Malden District Court last month.

According to a statement from the Department of Justice, Bethany Abigail Terrill, 37, of Malden, was charged with threatening a United States official after confronting federal agents who were assisting Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) during an operation on September 29.

Prosecutors say Terrill physically inserted herself between the agents and the individuals being detained, shouting obscenities and attempting to film the incident on her phone. The charging documents allege she pushed through agents while yelling, “ICE is here, ICE is here,” and “You guys are monsters, this is insane.”

Agents reportedly ordered Terrill to “back up” several times, identifying themselves with badges and placards, but she allegedly refused to comply. Authorities say she continued to shove past officers and was warned that she could be arrested if she didn’t stop interfering.

According to federal prosecutors, Terrill then began making violent threats. She allegedly yelled, “Charlie Kirk died, and we love it… we’re coming for you, gonna kill you.” The entire exchange was captured on agents’ body-worn cameras and allegedly on Terrill’s own cellphone.

The incident occurred just over a month after Charlie Kirk was assassinated. Terrill’s statements, federal officials say, directly referenced Kirk’s death in what agents described as an unprovoked confrontation.

Terrill was arrested shortly after the incident and will make her initial appearance in federal court in Boston.

The charge of threatening a US official carries a maximum sentence of 10 years in prison, up to three years of supervised release, and a fine of $250,000.

The case is being prosecuted by Assistant US Attorney Luke A. Goldworm of the Major Crimes Unit. US Attorney Leah B. Foley and FBI Special Agent in Charge Ted E. Docks of the Bureau’s Boston Division announced the charges on Thursday, the DOJ release stated.
