ARE YOU ON THE DECK OF THE TITANIC

By: Linda Kirby/WGON

The “unsinkable” Titanic was the strongest, most desirable, and safest ship in the world. Yet, even it was sunk. The United States was once considered the strongest, most desirable, and safest nation in the world -- yet it is sinking as well. On the Titanic, those who were able to get in a lifeboat were saved. Today, with the evil going on in this country, many are getting into the lifeboat, Who is Jesus. “No one comes to the Father except through Me" (John 14:6). Only our faith in Jesus and His Word will keep us from drowning. “But the Lord is faithful, and He will strengthen and protect you from the evil one" (2 Thessalonians 3:3). The problem with many countrymen is this: They have believed the lie that they are not sinking. Even though they see the tilting toward totalitarianism, they continue to stay on their present course. Many of those people consider themselves Christians, yet they do not have eyes to see, nor ears to hear -- and they will go down with the ship. Those in the lifeboats are being saved by Jesus and they are praying for those still on board. We all need to pray more: The U.S. is taking on water and we need to pray hard for those on the decks, for the end is very near. There is only one way to safety. Where are you?
