ARE YOU READY

Just as in the Apostle Paul’s day, many false teachings abound. In 2 Thessalonians, Paul corrected the false teaching that Christians would have to go through the tribulation and the false teaching that the rapture had already happened and they missed it. These heretical beliefs caused the people to stop doing Jesus’ work of spreading the gospel and bringing men to salvation. They became lazy. If they missed the rapture, then why work? Or, if they have to go through the tribulation, then what’s the point of being ready now? They can wait until the last minute and get ready. That’s the problem with false teachings. People don’t learn the truth spoken of in scripture where Jesus commanded us to be ready for His return. Luke 12:36 - "[L]ike servants waiting for their master to return from a wedding banquet, so that when he comes and knocks they can immediately open the door for him." We should always be watching and waiting and remaining ready. We should do the work Jesus has for us to do. We live in a time where we can see the tribulation is at the door. Time is moving more swiftly than ever before. We can see we are in the season of the rapture. Our blessed hope (Titus 2) is near. The rapture is closing in and no time is left for laziness or procrastination. You are in the last seconds right now. Are you ready?
