We were told it was about peace. About saving the planet. About safety. But the language keeps shifting, and if you listen closely, the mask slips.

At COP26, Prince Charles declared the need for a “vast military-style campaign” to marshal the global private sector—with trillions at his disposal. Not ours. His. To whom is he referring? A slip? Perhaps. Or perhaps a signal. A quiet confession that power is no longer dispersed, but concentrated—ready to be wielded by one man.

Then came the “Donroe Doctrine.” A media play on words, confusing the Monroe Doctrine with a man who brands everything he touches. But verbal gymnastics like that doesn’t happen by accident. It reveals allegiance. It reveals who’s really steering the ship.

And all the while, the people cheer. Peace and safety, they cry—just as scripture warned. By peace he shall destroy many (Daniel 8:25). Not with bombs, but with promises. Not with war, but with words. To date, one man has brought peace to many war torn nations. One man has so much power that only authoritarians will say no to him. One man is praised like a god in today’s world. One man has so much pride that it could sink a ship. This same man lies and gaslights like most politicians but on a scale that reshapes reality.

Sailors say, “Don’t spit into the wind”—it always comes back in your face.” We’re casting off discernment in the same direction, and the blow back is coming.

While the world watches trade deals and handshakes, the real currency is silence. Venezuela sits untouched—not because it’s safe, but because it’s strategic. Rare earths are the new gold, and deals made in quiet halls may already have carved up the spoils. Discernment isn’t optional.

We are commanded to let no man deceive us ( Matthew 24:4 and 2 Thessalonians 2:3 ). We must stay vigilant with being sons of Issachar ( 1 Chronicles 12:32 ) in discerning the times.

Discernment isn’t optional anymore. It’s the difference between getting spit on or staying dry.

There have been many antichrist spirits through time—Herod, Nero, Napoleon, Hitler, Stalin, and others who exalted themselves, persecuted the righteous, and twisted truth into tyranny. Scripture warns that the spirit of antichrist is already at work (1 John 4:3), manifesting in systems, leaders, and ideologies that oppose Christ and deceive many. We will not know exactly who the man of sin will be or when the final Antichrist will arrive. However, even if we’re not here for the storm, we’re called to read the clouds. Watching isn’t about fear—it’s about stewardship, discernment, and preparing others who may not be ready.

Jesus said in Matthew 16:3 : And in the morning, It will be foul weather to day: for the sky is red and lowering. O ye hypocrites, ye can discern the face of the sky; but can ye not discern the signs of the times?
