BUILDING YOUR LIFE

We spend a lifetime building our lives and when we get halfway through, we wonder what went wrong. Why did our lives not turn out like we had hoped? What did we do to make our lives so bad? The answer to those questions is that Jesus was not in your plans. If you allow Jesus to guide you in your decision-making, only good will come from it. Jesus knows the beginning from the end, so He knows where the pitfalls are and can direct you around them. Jesus will use every opportunity to teach you, to strengthen you, and to mold you. In the end, you will look back and say, “Oh, now I see why that happened!” Let Jesus guide you daily -- ask Him to give you wisdom to make the right choices in your life. This is how you build your life on a rock. Jesus is our Rock and nothing is strong enough to tear down what He has made. “Everyone then who hears these words of mine and does them will be like a wise man who built his house on the rock. And the rain fell, and the floods came, and the winds blew and beat on that house, but it did not fall, because it had been founded on the rock. And everyone who hears these words of mine and does not do them will be like a foolish man who built his house on the sand. And the rain fell, and the floods came, and the winds blew and beat against that house, and it fell, and great was the fall of it” (Matthew 7:24-27). So let Jesus be your Rock and nothing can destroy what He has built.
