DIVISION

In today’s world, the enemy is dividing people in every aspect of life. He divides using race, gender, vaccinated/unvaccinated, church doctrine, politics, you name it — he will use it to divide us. ”If a house is divided against itself, that house cannot stand" (Mark 3:25). The adversary especially delights in dividing the church. His desire is for the body of Christ to tear itself apart and to separate us from the Love of Jesus. One of the things God says He hates is, “[O]ne who spreads strife among brothers" (Proverbs 6:19b). The behavior of the church spills into the secular world as well. If the world sees strife and infighting among Christians, people do not want to become a part of the body of Christ. So, Satan wins another round. When people want to argue with us, we must refrain from falling into Satan’s trap. Just knock the dust off your shoes and walk away from the conversation so as not to become a stumbling block for others. We shouldn’t take part in arguments over doctrine. That is one of the enemy's favorite tools to use against God’s people. Those who argue over doctrine are full of pride and want to prove they are right about Scripture. Remember, the one causing them to argue, because of pride, also fell because of pride. Don’t fall for it! Walk away from division.
