FEAR TAKES YOU TO WHAT YOU FEAR

It is amazing how fear drives people and sends them right to the thing that they fear. This is reminiscent of Job: "For the thing which I greatly feared is come upon me, and that which I was afraid of is come unto me." -- (Job 3:25) Fear is a powerful tool and that’s why Satan and his minions use it. Look around the world and see how fear has caused people to act out of character. People often panic and run to a situation that is even worse than what they were previously facing. Dread and despair have caused many to lose their ability to think clearly and critically. In time, they may come to regret it, but by then, it could be too late. Hebrews 13:5b-6 -- “(F)or He has said, 'I will never leave you nor forsake you.' So we can confidently say, 'The Lord is my helper; I will not fear; what can man do to me?'” If we can remember this, it will keep anxiety, panic, and doubt at bay. 2 Timothy 1:7 -- “For God has not given us the spirit of fear; but of power, and of love, and of a sound mind.” Why a sound mind? So we won’t be deceived and find ourselves unable to be level-headed. Don’t let Satan use his best tool on you. Fear is like a cancer and once it gets in you, it’s hard to remove. Instead, we must have faith in the Lord. Many times Jesus said, "Fear not." Remember, He has overcome this world.
