FEAST OF TRUMPETS

Monday, September 6th, starts the Jewish feast day known as the Feast of Trumpets. Many Christians believe that the rapture will happen on the Feast of Trumpets, thus fulfilling this feast day. Then there are those who believe it is a feast day for only the Jews and not the Church. Lastly, there are those who say that because Jesus fulfilled the first half of the feast days, and, since Jesus was a Jew, why wouldn’t He fulfill one of the last feast days by gathering His Church? These are all good considerations. I think what we are missing here is that we should not be looking for the day or the hour; rather, we should be looking for the signs of Jesus’ return. We should be ready and watching always. We see things coming faster, like birth pains, so we know we are close. Does it really matter which day He comes? It only matters that we are true believers and are looking for His appearing. After all, there is no hope in this world except for Jesus. HE is our blessed Hope (Titus 2), so keep looking up! Our redemption draws nigh! (Luke 21:28)
