GOD’S GRACE THROUGH TRIALS

We all have ups and downs in our lives and sometimes those downs are extreme. We wonder how on earth we are going to make it through. Yet, we forget that God puts us in a place for His reasons, and we may never find out why. But, He is there, showing us the way to get through the difficult times. He won’t give us a trial without giving us a way of escape. “No temptation has overtaken you that is not common to man. God is faithful, and He will not let you be tempted beyond your ability, but with the temptation He will also provide a way of escape, that you may be able to endure" (1 Corinthians 10:13). Temptations and trials often put us in a state of mind where we can’t think clearly and thus we don’t realize that God is present and giving us the way of escape. Prayer, fasting, communing with the Lord; all strengthen us and give us the will to push forward. We must not entertain thoughts that do not agree with Scripture. Instead, we must remember that whatever God allows is for a good reason. We can’t allow Satan to get into our head. We must run to God and hold fast to Him. When we come face to face with temptation and instead of giving in, stop and look for God's way out. We can count on Him to help us.
