HOW TO FIX A MESSED UP WORLD
By: Linda Kirby/WGON

Paul writes that in the last days, there would be a lot of terrible people doing terrible things. "But understand this, that in the last days there will come times of difficulty. For people will be lovers of self, lovers of money, proud, arrogant, abusive, disobedient to their parents, ungrateful, unholy, heartless, unappeasable, slanderous, without self-control, brutal, not loving good, treacherous, reckless, swollen with conceit, lovers of pleasure rather than lovers of God, having the appearance of godliness, but denying its power. Avoid such people." (2 Timothy 3:1-5). However, I want to go one step further. Let’s look at our walk. Let’s pay attention to how we treat other people. We should not be like this world just because we are in the last days -- we, as Christians, should be altogether different. Look into your life and correct anything that comes close to one of the behaviors Paul listed. How you treat others will affect society because people tend to treat others the same way they were treated. Deal with people in love, respect, and patience, so that they can spread it throughout the world. "For ye were sometimes darkness, but now are ye light in the Lord: walk as children of light" (Ephesians 5:8). As children of light, we should show love and respect to others. So, don’t “mess up” the world because you are messed up. Look in the mirror and fix yourself!
