IT’S JUST NOT FAIR
By: Linda Kirby/WGON

Isn’t it kind of frustrating to see the evil doers prosper? Don’t we often wonder why do they get to prosper as evil as they are? Yet, we’re trying to live a righteous life and we’re not close to being prosperous. Well, seems like we aren’t the only ones over the centuries who have wondered that same thing. In Psalms 73, the psalmist expresses that same frustration. He asks, in Psalms 73: 3: “For I was envious at the foolish, when I saw the prosperity of the wicked. 4)For there are no bands in their death: but their strength is firm. 5) They are not in trouble as other men; neither are they plagued like other men.” The psalmist continues well into that chapter about how unfair it is that they prosper so. Then he comes to his senses when he goes into the sanctuary of God. Psalms 73:17 - “Until I went into the sanctuary of God; then understood I their end.” In other words, he communes with the Lord and was shown their end and it was terrible. He realized that God will take care of the evil ones in His own time. We need to come to that same realization when we commune with Jesus. They will get their judgment according to their works. Let that cheer us up when we see those who are doing evil today prosper. Let’s pray for them to repent before Jesus comes so they won’t be cast into the lake of fire. This is what the psalmist saw of their end.

Amen, and Psalm 37:13 and Psalm 37:25. See how many times the words "cut off" is used in Psalm 37 and look how many times He encourages the just. A beautiful promise for believers. Praise God for His faithfulness!
