LOVE GIVES LIGHT IN THE WORLD

Hatred stirreth up strifes: but love covereth all sins. Proverbs 10:12 It seems that hate fills the world today. There seems to be more hate than love. Hate brings discord, misery, and pain. It divides the people. Division is becoming normal. Love and hate are opposites, and their effects are opposites as well. Christians are, of course, called to love everyone, even our enemies. Hate is extremely destructive and divisive. Love, on the other hand, provides a covering. When we love we are pulled together not apart like hate does. When we love, light stays in the world, but when we hate, darkness fills the world and the world is unbearable with only darkness and hate. We are to be the salt and the light. Love will keep the light in the world. It is difficult to serve the Almighty if you are filled with hate. Love is the opposite. Love forgives, love has compassion, love is long sufferings, and love has no ill will. Thus, love will cover all sins. Jesus said the entirety of the law is summed up in the command to “Love the Lord your God with all your heart and with all your soul and with all your mind” (Matthew 22:37), and “to love your neighbor as yourself” (Matthew 22:39). Go light up the world!
