“MY REWARD IS WITH ME”

"And now little children, abide in Him, that when He appears, we may have confidence and not be ashamed before Him at His coming" (1 John 2:28). As Christians, we should be striving daily to make our walk with Jesus one that we will feel good about on that day at the Bema seat of Christ. We can’t afford, at this late date, to rest on our laurels. There’s work to be done. Not just on our own selves, but on the lost. We don’t have time to lay down on the job. We are at the last seconds before the shofar sounds. Revelation 3:11, "I am coming soon. Hold fast what you have, so that no one may seize your crown." Jesus tells us to hold fast -- in other words, we are to continue our work, make our own walk as Christlike as possible, and keep working for the Kingdom. If we sit down on the job, we may lose our crown that our works would give us. While works doesn’t save us, works is the evidence of our faith. Works gives us our crowns, our rewards. This is what Jesus is saying in this Scripture. So, keep working hard, fear nothing, keep the faith. Jesus is coming extremely soon and His reward is with Him. Revelation 22:12, “Look, I am coming soon! My reward is with Me, and I will give to each person according to what they have done."
