NOTHING TO FEAR BUT FEAR ITSELF

The quote by Franklin D. Roosevelt famously declared in his address that, "We have nothing to fear but fear itself." We are taught in the Bible that fear is wrong and we are admonished by Christ not to fear. Mark 5:36 "But overhearing what they said, Jesus said to the ruler of the synagogue, 'Do not fear, only believe.'" Believing in Jesus takes away all of our fears because He said that He will be with us, protect us, and give us peace. Fear not, and have faith. Faith is trusting in God’s timing, not ours. Faith grows by believing in God in spite of events. Faith enables us to obey God one step at a time. Satan knows that fear is one of mankind’s worst enemies. Fear keeps us from thinking clearly, and that can keep us from being levelheaded. Fear causes hatred because it turns people against one another. Fear tells God you don’t trust Him. Fear will disrupt every aspect of our lives if we let it take hold. Fear can tear down a person, family, and even a nation. Those who trust in God have peace that is beyond the world’s understanding. Philippians 4:7 "And the peace of God, which passeth all understanding, shall keep your hearts and minds through Christ Jesus." Sometimes, we reach a point in very stressful situations, where Satan's planted seed of fear and doubt begins to grow. When we see that happening, and fear starts to manifest, we need to go to God in prayer. He is our refuge. He will replace that fear with peace. FEAR is the thing we should be afraid of.
