PEACE UNTO YOU

“The only one who can satisfy the human heart is the one who made it”, someone once said. What a true statement that is. Many people feel an emptiness in their hearts and try to fill that void with everything but Jesus. They turn to worldly possessions, drugs, alcohol, popularity, fame, fortune, yet nothing is satiating that craving. Many go through their entire lives that way. They never realize that the emptiness they feel is not having Jesus in their hearts. Once they accept Jesus as their savior, that hole is filled and the peace beyond all understanding is given to them. “and the peace of God, which surpasses all understanding, will guard your hearts and minds through Christ Jesus.” Philippians 4:7. Once your heart is at peace, your mind is as well. You no longer go looking for the world. The world can’t give you what Jesus gives. John 14:27a: “Peace I leave with you, My peace I give to you; not as the world gives do I give to you.” If you are tired of the feeling of never getting satisfied, never being at peace, let Jesus into your heart and peace will be yours.
