START YOUR DAY WITH PRAYER

The steadfast love of the Lord never ceases; His mercies never come to an end; they are new every morning; great is your faithfulness" (Lamentations 3:22-23). Before our busy day starts to consume our time and energy, we can spend a few moments with God every morning. People often say that they don’t have time to commune daily with Jesus. Starting our morning off with the Lord in prayer will diminish any chaos and it will give us peace in which to conduct our business. Many people sleep right up to that moment when they are barely able to arrive at work on time. The exhaustion of working many stressful days has made them crave that extra few minutes of rest. Still, they wake up very tired and listless. If they had started each day with a time of fellowship with Jesus, their day would move along in a more orderly fashion. The peace of Jesus would be with them to slow down and orchestrate their day, and give them supernatural ability to deal with their life. “Peace I leave with you, my peace I give unto you: not as the world giveth, give I unto you. Let not your heart be troubled, neither let it be afraid" (John 14:27). Our days are troubled because of lack of time and energy trying to deal with a very troubled world. Start your day with the peace of Jesus. Start your day with prayer.
