TAKE RESPONSIBILITY

Nowadays, society doesn’t seem to know how to take responsibility for its actions. The youth of today seem to have been raised to blame others for their mistakes. But how does one correct their behavior when they do not accept the fact that it was their fault? Christians are no different. Some seem to think it’s permissible to sin and go on about their business without acknowledging that they have sinned and fallen short of the glory of God (Romans 3:23). Repentance is needed, and if we take responsibility for our actions, we will see the need for it. God forgives all who repent, which means turning from our sinful ways and changing our life. How does one change their life if they don’t acknowledge that they have sinned and haven’t repented? Those who know the Lord and study the Word know that He has such a heart of love for His creation, and that He desires for us to be free of every kind of bondage, and sin certainly is bondage. Sin will grow in you and you will be led off the path God has for you. The Bible teaches that all evil behavior has consequences, and before long, your entire relationship with God will be almost non-existent. The only way to come into a state of grace is to acknowledge you have sinned, repent, and walk in the ways of the Lord. “The one who says he resides in God ought himself to walk just as Jesus walked" (1 John 2:6).
