THE RIGHT WORDS

“The right words have the power to change one’s life,” someone once said. That is so true. We can be around people all day and never know what's really going on in their lives. For all we know, they may be hanging on by a thread -- and that person may only need a word to push them over the edge, or, bring them back from the brink. As Christians, God calls us to be the light in the world, to love and to be kind to all. “Be kind and compassionate to one another, forgiving each other, just as in Christ God forgave you" (Ephesians 4:32). Ask God what can you do to be an outlet of His kindness, compassion, and forgiveness to the people He has purposefully placed in your life. If a person is in your presence, and you feel they are in great need of encouragement, say something nice to them! Give them a smile and maybe a laugh. Anything you do to brighten their day will glorify God and you get to show them His love. "Therefore, as God’s chosen people, holy and dearly loved, clothe yourselves with compassion, kindness, humility, gentleness and patience" (Colossians 3:12).
