TRUST IN THE LORD

Life is hard for all of us and we all have struggles every day. Some have a harder time than others, but we all go through seasons of difficulty. How we handle the hardships of life can make all the difference. Our first reaction is to try and overcome our problems all by ourselves. Dealing with life under our own steam is hard and it wears on us more and more. But there is a better way: Jesus said, "Come to Me, all you who labor and are heavy laden, and I will give you rest. Take My yoke upon you and learn from Me, for I am gentle and lowly in heart, and you will find rest for your souls. For My yoke is easy and My burden is light" (Matthew 11:28-30). It can be so hard to release our burdens to the Lord. And after we do give it all to Him, it is so easy to take back our troubles and we find ourselves again stressing and stewing about our situation. When we realize we are once again trying to fix things without leaning on God, all we have to do is stop and hand it all back to Jesus. He desires to hold our hands and bear our burdens -- He loves us so very much. So, when life is coming at us hard and we feel anxiety, we must turn to the Lord. Trust Jesus, He is worthy! "Trust in the LORD with all your heart, And lean not on your own understanding" (Proverbs 3:5).
