WE ARE BOUGHT AND PAID FOR

At this time in history with all the fear, violence, corruption, and wickedness, followers of Christ sometimes need to be reminded that Jesus has redeemed us. He purchased us with His own life. We are bought by His work on the cross. He will never leave us. Isaiah 43:1-2 says: “But now, this is what the Lord says—He who created you, Jacob, He who formed you, Israel: 'Do not fear, for I have redeemed you; I have summoned you by name; you are mine. When you pass through the waters, I will be with you; and when you pass through the rivers, they will not sweep over you. When you walk through the fire, you will not be burned; the flames will not set you ablaze.'” Just as God redeemed Israel and will protect her, Jesus is our redeemer and will protect us. When things get really concerning, when the trials come upon us, let’s always remember, we are bought by the blood of the Lamb and He will never leave us. (Hebrews 13:5)
