WHAT IS PANIC

What is panic? Panic is fear magnified. It’s a very effective and powerful tool that Satan uses to influence and direct people. He knows that we can’t think clearly when we panic and will run off a cliff because we can’t perceive the danger. What does Scripture tell us about fear? “For God gave us a spirit not of fear but of power and love and self-control” (2 Timothy 1:7). When we allow the adversary to instill fear and direct our paths, we lose self-control and the enemy has entrapped us. But the Scripture also says that those who trust in the Lord are safe (Proverbs 29:25b). That’s the important thing that we need to keep in mind. We are not trusting the Lord when we are in fear. Trust in Him because He will be with us through each and every circumstance. When we are filled with fear, we should sit down and read His words of encouragement. "Have I not commanded you? Be strong and courageous. Do not be frightened, and do not be dismayed, for the Lord your God is with you wherever you go” (Joshua 1:9). Jesus is always with us, He always protects us because He loves us. Remember these things, be encouraged, and don't panic!
