WHERE DO YOU RUN IN TIMES OF TROUBLE

“For God so loved the world that He gave His one and only Son, that whoever believes in Him shall not perish but have eternal life.” (John 3:16)

God loves us that much! If He loved us enough to give His Son to die for us, why do you think God has forgotten you when times are bad? Yes, we sometimes get so full of despair that we believe God has forgotten us. We think God doesn’t love us. But we are just down and out and not thinking clearly. God will not turn His back on us. He is right beside us even in our darkest times. He has a plan for us and even dark times can be part of that plan. God molds, teaches, and directs us -- in our good and bad times. Just read about Job if you don’t believe that. So, when that darkness takes over in your life, go to God in prayer and ask Him for the strength to endure the trial. He will hold you up. He will strengthen you. “I can do all this through Him who gives me strength.” -- (Philippians 4:13) Keep your trust strong in Him during the difficult times and run to God for encouragement. Doing that will get you through trials and tribulations. Psalm 9:9-10 says: “The LORD also will be a refuge for the oppressed, a refuge in times of trouble. And those who know Your name will put their trust in You; for You, LORD, have not forsaken those who seek You.”
