WHY?

We often ask God “why” when things are not going the way we hoped. Sometimes, we may even scream it at Him. Well, the answer to your question is in the Bible. Matthew 7:7 - “Ask, and it will be given to you; seek, and you will find; knock, and it will be opened to you.” The Bible also says in James 1:5 - “If any of you lacks wisdom, let him ask God, who gives generously to all without reproach, and it will be given him.” The problem is that we have become lazy and seldom search the word of God for our answer, or, when we do find it, we want something more direct to our needs but the truth is there and it applies to us all. The Bible is a long letter, written by God, to mankind. He wrote it to show us how to live our lives for Him. So, call it our how-to book, or “living a righteous life for dummies” book. The point is that when we have trials and tribulations, God has already foreseen our questions and has given us the answers in His word. Also, you have another avenue to ask Him why: you can ask Him in prayer. He will lay on your heart what He wants to tell you. It’s okay to ask God why. We fear the unknown more than the known, so we want to know why something is happening. Understanding why helps us to handle a situation better. God likes it when you come to Him and talk with Him. Just take your questions to His Word and to Him directly in prayer.
