PESKY DEVILS

Have you ever gotten up in the morning and right out of the gate, everything starts to be difficult. You turn on the coffeemaker, only to find out that you forgot to put coffee in it. While showering, you reach for the shampoo bottle and discover that it's empty. You are on your way to work and notice you are about to run out of gas and wonder if you can make it to a gas station. This goes on all morning, one irritating moment after another. If you find yourself in this situation, I suggest you stop in your tracks and start rebuking the evil spirit that is orchestrating these events. Start praying for Jesus to rid you of this spirit of confusion so your day will run more smoothly. If you don’t, your day may get progressively worse. Occasionally, we all have a frustrating day like that. "Submit yourselves therefore to God. Resist the devil, and he will flee from you" (James 4:7). Yes, that demon has to leave when you call on the name of Jesus. "Behold, I give unto you power to tread on serpents and scorpions, and over all the power of the enemy: and nothing shall by any means hurt you" (Luke 10:19). The power given to each of us is the name of Jesus. Call on Him and these pesky devils will flee. This is just one more reason why starting your day with Jesus will help you have a good day.
