As of late October 2025, tensions between the U.S. and Venezuela have escalated dramatically. The U.S. has deployed its largest naval and air presence in the Caribbean in decades, authorized covert CIA operations, and launched strikes on vessels near Venezuelan waters—resulting in dozens of deaths. Venezuela’s President Maduro has declared a state of emergency and placed Russian-made armament on wartime alert, while warning the UN of imminent military aggression. The air is thick with accusation, posturing, and fear.
And in the midst of this noise—this global clamor, the soul winces, fear builds, and many will run to Jesus for the peace beyond all understanding.
“And the peace of God, which surpasses all understanding, will guard your hearts and your minds in Christ Jesus.” — Philippians 4:7 (ESV)
With rumors of war echoing louder than the still small voice;
when discernment feels drowned beneath the roar of opinion, propaganda, and panic, we will always find Jesus is there with us. “I will never leave you nor forsake you.” — Hebrews 13:5 (ESV)
But Scripture does not flinch in noisy times.
It whispers: “In returning and rest you shall be saved; in quietness and trust shall be your strength.” (Isaiah 30:15)
We must remember: allowing silence to flow over us like a soothing waterfall calms our nerves, our frustration, and our fears.
Silence is a gift from God.
In that sacred hush, we can hear Him—not the noise of the world.
So we listen.
My sheep hear my voice, and I know them, and they follow me.” (John 10:27)
To the silence.
To the still small voice.
“And your ears shall hear a word behind you, saying, ‘This is the way, walk in it.’” (Isaiah 30:21)
So even now—
in these concerning times,
when the world trembles with rumors of war and hearts grow faint—
be still.
Even if only for a moment.
The waves of life may be crashing around you,
but in the silence, God will calm the waters—if you allow Him.
Let the silence wash over you like living water.
Let the presence of God settle the storm within...
and rise in you with joy, peace, and unshakable love.
“May the God of hope fill you with all joy and peace in believing, so that by the power of the Holy Spirit you may abound in hope.”Romans 15:13
“…that Christ may dwell in your hearts through faith… that you may have strength to comprehend… the love of Christ that surpasses knowledge, that you may be filled with all the fullness of God.” Ephesians 3:17
