Inspirational: A Picture of My Bridegroom

When I try to tell people how awesome Jesus is, words feel too small. So instead of preaching, I want to paint Him — not with oils or canvas, but with the colors He Himself brushed across creation.
My Bridegroom made this whole earth in six days. Six. Man can’t build a house in six months, yet He shaped oceans, mountains, stars, and every living thing with nothing but His voice. When man speaks destruction seems to follow but when God spoke, He spoke the entire planet and universe into existence.
Look at the flowers — every shape, every color, every pattern. Some look like they were dipped in sunrise. Some look like they borrowed their colors from a rainbow. Some even look like monkeys and angels. Each one is a tiny sermon about a Creator who loves beauty. He didn’t have to make them this diverse… but He did, because He delights in delighting us.
And the animals — oh, the animals. The lion with its royal mane. The hummingbird with wings that beat faster than thought. And then the duck‑billed platypus, which proves beyond argument that God has a sense of humor. He invented laughter, after all — and He knew we’d need it to survive this world.
Even a blade of grass preaches His greatness. Grass can be mowed down, starved, trampled on, but it comes back beautiful and green. The One who rained bread from heaven and poured water from a rock is faithful to care for even the smallest thing He made. If He cares for that, He surely cares for you. Most people never notice that point. But if they did, they’d see how magnificent the Creator truly is.
But all of that — every miracle, every wonder, every act of power — is small compared to what my Bridegroom did next.
He died. For us. For me. For you. He took our sins, carried them to the cross, and three days later He rose again, shattering death like a clay pot. Then He ascended to heaven, still bearing the scars that bought our freedom. He truly lives today. Unlike anyone before Him He beat death and lives today. That is how we know He is truly God.
So if you’ve wondered why I speak of Him with such awe… why I call Him my Bridegroom… why I say He’s awesome beyond words…it’s because once you’ve seen even a glimpse of who He is, your heart can never go back to silence. Love rises. Praise rises. Awe rises. And everything in you wants the world to know the One who rescued you, the One who walks with you, the One who loves you beyond measure — Jesus, your Bridegroom.
