OBSTACLES

"Immediately many gathered together, so that there was no longer room to receive them, not even near the door. And He preached the word to them. Then they came to Him, bringing a paralytic who was carried by four men. And when they could not come near Him because of the crowd, they uncovered the roof where He was. So when they had broken through, they let down the bed on which the paralytic was lying. When Jesus saw their faith, He said to the paralytic, 'Son, your sins are forgiven you.'" (Mark 2:2-5) NKJV

The faith of the friends of the paralyzed man is what moved Jesus to heal. They didn’t give up in the face of adversity. They persevered and found a way to get the crippled man to Jesus. This should inspire us all. Do you have this kind of faith? We are all faced with roadblocks and adversity of all kinds. Do we find a way because we have the faith that Jesus will get us through it all? Do you pray for a friend or acquaintance even though there are obstacles in your way? Remember, it was the crippled man’s friends who had the faith to endure, even though there was seemingly no way through the crowd. Their faith, the Scripture says, impressed Jesus enough to heal the sick man. You can have that kind of impression on Jesus when you pray for another. Don’t let distance or difficulty stop you from praying for someone. Satan likes to put obstacles between you and Jesus. Don’t let him succeed. Press on through to Jesus!
