WE HAVE A CROWN OF RIGHTEOUSNESS AWAITING US

When we look around us at all the things going on in this world, we can see that our time here is short. We see Bible prophecy about to come to pass. It’s "casting a shadow” now. We see the Ezekiel War on the horizon. We know that Isaiah 17 is very closely based on the current news of the day. Everything that we are told will occur before the tribulation will begin, we can now see it in technicolor! This would scare some people to death, knowing that huge wars are about to happen. It would cause others great stress to know that total chaos is coming. Yet, we find it encouraging. Not because we want the world to suffer or end, but because we will see Jesus before any of it happens. It is hard to be encouraged when we see what is coming, but we must remember what we are told in Scripture: “And when these things begin to come to pass, then look up, and lift up your heads; for your redemption draweth nigh.” -- ( Luke 21:28) This is why we are encouraged. We see these things begin to happen so we know we are not going to be here much longer. Fret not, my friends, we are not appointed to wrath (1 Thess. 5:9a). So, there is no way we will have to endure God's fierce anger coming on this world. We should be excited to finally see Jesus. Be uplifted for our misery is nearly over. Be encouraged because we have endured till the end. We have a crown of righteousness waiting for us.
