God is not finished with His people. He is still moving, still guiding, still protecting, and still calling men and women of all walks of life to take their place in His plan. President Trump can vouch for this. It’s just been reported that there have been at least five attempts to end his work that obviously God has him doing. Three attempts were from shootings, yet God has protected him so he can do God’s work. Yet, President Trump, a flawed man being used for God’s purpose, doesn’t give up. He continues to move forward unknowingly doing what God has laid out for him to do. God will do this for us if we don’t give up. Philippians 1:6
“…He which hath begun a good work in you will perform it…”
Many times throughout history, God has preserved people because their assignment was not yet complete. And the same is true for you. If you are still breathing, God is still working. He has something for you to do — something no one else can carry out in quite the same way.
Your task may be simple in the eyes of the world, but precious in the eyes of God: to love someone who feels forgotten, to pray for someone who is fighting a battle, to plant a seed of the Truth in a heart that is searching.
Wherever your path leads, God will give you what you need to walk it. He equips the willing. He strengthens the faithful. He protects those who step into the work He has laid before them.
If people who serve darkness are willing to labor for their cause, how much more should the children of God be willing to shine, to love, to pray, and to stand firm. It doesn’t take much to encourage a weary soul or to let your light break through someone’s darkness.
If we allow our light to shine more brightly, then darkness has to flee. Too many of God’s people have dimmed their light and the world has turned darker because of it. Doing God’s work only brightens this world but we have stopped working. Love him or dislike him, President Trump’s example of never giving up should be showing us that stopping our work is not an option for those who call themselves followers of Christ.
Do not quit. Do not surrender your assignment. Do not let the enemy silence what God has placed in you.
Galatians 6:9
“Let us not be weary in well doing: for in due season we shall reap, if we faint not.”
God is not through with His people — and He is certainly not through with you.
1 Corinthians 15:58
“Be ye steadfast, unmoveable, always abounding in the work of the Lord…”
